Guilt Free Desserts

We constantly tell ourselves to watch what we eat and eat healthier, but it is hard to do when you walk past 6 sweet shops and cookie stands on your way to the Apple Store or standing in the check out line and the candies are calling your name… so how do we get our sweet fix without all the consequences?

Check out these recipes I like to make when I have a sweet tooth that just wont go away!

1. Sautéed Bananas with Coconut Cream Sauce:

1 Banana chopped 1″ (1/2 Banana per person)

1/4 can Coconut Milk or Coconut Cream

1 TBLS Honey

1 Table Spoon Olive or Grape Seed Oil

Saute bananas in Oil until golden and place in bowl. Stir honey and Coconut cream/milk until reduced to a thick sauce and drizzle over bananas!

2. Berries with Greek Yogurt

Handful of mixed Berries

Dash of Cinnamon

1 tsp honey

1/2 cup Greek Yogurt

Saute most of the mixed berries with 1 Teaspoon of water and dash of cinnamon until berries are soft. Place at bottom of glass, add yogurt, top with honey and a few fresh berries!

3. Fresh Figs with Rosemary, Goat Cheese and Honey

6 fresh figs, quartered but not cut through

2 Tbsp. high quality fresh goat cheese

1/2 tsp. milk

1 tsp. fresh rosemary, finely chopped

fresh cracked black pepper and sea salt

honey

Cut figs in quarters, but NOT all the way through; Mix goat cheese with milk (adding milk slowly) to create thick cream. Put a dollop of creamy cheese in center of fig and top with pepper, rosemary, very little salt and a drop of honey
